What We Install — Kitchen and Laundry, Gas and Electric

We are a family-owned crew, working since 2019, insured, and on the road every day from 7am to 9pm. Installation is priced differently than repair. You text us the model number and a few photos of the space. We reply with one exact written price before we arrive, and that number does not move. One call, and the machine sitting in your hallway can be working tonight.

Dishwashers. We pull the old unit, set the new one in the existing cutout, and secure it to the counter or cabinet sides. New braided supply line every time. The drain gets routed correctly — more on that in the checklist below. Then we run a fill, a wash, and a drain before we call it done. If your current dishwasher might still be worth saving, our dishwasher repair page covers that decision.

Over-the-range microwaves. These are two-person jobs. The mounting plate carries the weight, the top bolts pull through the upper cabinet, and the blower has to point the right way for your vent setup. We mount it, wire it, and confirm the fan actually moves air instead of just making noise. And if there is no outlet hiding in the upper cabinet — common in older Escondido kitchens — we will tell you from the photos, before anyone is standing on your countertop discovering it.

Wall ovens. The heaviest and slowest install on this list. The cutout has to match, the unit is usually hardwired on a 240V circuit, and getting an 80-pound oven into a chest-height opening is not a one-person trick. We bring the muscle and the wiring know-how in the same visit.

Cooktops. Drop-in gas, electric, or induction panels. We check the cutout fit, the clearance to combustible edges, and the gas or electrical connection underneath. A cooktop that rocks in its opening will crack — we shim and seal it so it sits dead flat.

Washers and dryers, including stacked pairs. Fresh fill hoses, drain hose secured, machine leveled so it doesn't walk. Gas or electric dryers both. For stacked sets we install the brand-correct stacking kit — a dryer balanced on a washer without one is an accident with a timer. We also reverse dryer door swing when the layout calls for it, and bolt pedestals on before the machines slide into place — both jobs are far easier during the install than after. Closet installs and tight laundry nooks are routine for us.

Refrigerators with water lines. Setting a fridge is easy. Connecting the ice maker and dispenser line without a future puddle is the real job. We check the saddle or quarter-turn valve, run the line cleanly, and flush it so your first batch of ice doesn't taste like plastic. Doors come off and go back on if the unit won't clear your doorway. When a fridge problem turns out to be a dying machine rather than a new one, that's refrigerator repair territory — we do both.

Freestanding ranges. Gas or electric. Two details most people don't know: ranges ship without power cords, because outlets vary by house, and every range install needs the anti-tip bracket anchored to the wall or floor. We carry the cords and we mount the bracket. A range that can tip when a child opens the door and stands on it is not installed — it's parked.

The Hook-Up Checklist: What We Verify Before Anything Gets Connected

We run a four-point checklist — gas, water, electrical, venting — before anything gets connected. Most installation disasters are not the appliance. They are the connection behind it — the fitting nobody could see, the hose nobody replaced, the outlet nobody checked. So before any new machine touches a valve or a receptacle, we run the same checklist at every house.

Gas. The flex connector gets replaced, never reused — they are cheap, and they work-harden where they bend. Where the line calls for one, we confirm the sediment trap is in place — the short dead-leg of pipe that catches debris before it reaches the appliance valve. We make sure the manual shutoff is reachable, not buried behind the unit. After connection, every joint gets leak-checked with solution, and we check again once the appliance has run hot. Hand-tight and hope is not a method.

Water. We find the shutoff valve and turn it before we trust it — a valve that hasn't moved in fifteen years often won't, or worse, won't close again. Old rubber washer hoses get retired in favor of braided stainless. Compression fittings get new ferrules, because a re-crushed ferrule is a slow drip wearing a disguise. For dishwashers, the drain hose must rise through an air gap or a high loop before it meets the sink plumbing. Skip that, and dirty sink water can siphon backward into the machine you just paid for.

Electrical. Dryers and wall ovens run on 240V, and the outlet has to match the cord — older homes have three-slot receptacles, newer ones four. We carry both cord kits, so the wrong plug never stalls the job. Dishwashers and over-the-range microwaves want their own circuit; sharing one with a garbage disposal is how breakers learn to trip at dinnertime. We also look at the receptacle itself for heat discoloration and loose contacts before plugging anything new into it.

Venting. An over-the-range microwave either pushes air outside or recirculates it through a filter, and the blower has to be rotated to match — factories ship them set for recirculation. For dryers, we connect with rigid or semi-rigid metal duct, kept as short and straight as the space allows. The crushed foil accordion stuffed behind the machine is the single most common shortcut we undo.

Why does this matter? Because "just plug it in" fails quietly. A fitting that holds at first torque can weep a drop an hour behind a cabinet, and you discover it when the toe-kick swells three months later. A siphoning drain looks fine on day one. A seeping gas joint announces itself by smell, eventually. The checklist costs us twenty minutes. Skipping it can cost you a floor.

Who Books Installation — Not Just New Kitchens

Homeowners replacing one tired machine make up half these calls. The other half is more varied. Landlords and property managers send us to rentals between tenants, where a unit has to be in and tested before the next lease starts — we coordinate with whoever holds the key and send the invoice wherever it needs to go. Remodel projects call when the contractor's schedule and the appliance delivery refuse to line up. And adult kids arrange installs for parents who should not be wrestling a dryer out of a closet, no matter how confident they sound on the phone. If the machine is bought and the space exists, the rest is our problem.

Bought It at a Big-Box Store — and Delivery Wouldn't Connect It?

We hear this story weekly, and it always goes the same way. The store's delivery team is paid to deliver, not to install. They will swap a fridge in an easy spot on a good day. But they will not touch a gas line. They will not hardwire a wall oven. If the cutout is half an inch tight, or the old unit won't disconnect cleanly, or anything looks nonstandard, the job is over — and your new range is sitting in the middle of the kitchen while the old one is still bolted in.

Delivered to the curb is not installed. That gap between the two is exactly what we fill. Text photos of where things stand — the crated unit, the old appliance, the connections behind it — and we'll send a written price to finish the job the store started. One more reason to call quickly rather than live around the box for a month: we inspect the new unit for shipping damage before the old one comes out. Finding a dented door panel while you're still inside the store's return window is a much better day than finding it after.

How an Installation Visit Works

Step one — photos and a model number. Text us the model of the new appliance, a photo of the space it's going into, and a shot of the old unit's connections if you can reach them. That's usually everything we need. No measuring visit, no "we'll see when we get there."

Step two — one exact written price. We confirm the fit, flag anything unusual, and send the full price in writing — labor and materials together. You approve it before we ever start the engine. The figure you approve is the figure on the invoice.

Step three — the install. We show up in the window we gave you, protect the floors, disconnect and move the old unit, then set, level, and connect the new one off the checklist above. Nothing gets signed off until it has actually run: dishwasher through a cycle, dryer up to temperature, every burner lit, water dispensed from the new fridge door.

Step four — walkthrough and cleanup. We show you the shutoffs, hand over the manuals, flatten the boxes, and leave the kitchen as clean as we found it.

A standard install — dishwasher, dryer, freestanding range, over-the-range microwave — runs about one to two hours on site for a standard like-for-like swap. Wall ovens, stacked laundry pairs, and built-in refrigerators take longer, and we'll say so when we send the price, not when we're standing in your kitchen. Every installation carries our 90-day labor warranty: if a connection we made gives you trouble, we come back and make it right at no charge. We run these calls across Escondido, San Marcos, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Vista, and the rest of our regular North County map — the full list of everything else we do lives on our services page.

Our electric dryer was only spinning with no heat. Yurii had the heating element on the truck, installed it, tested temperatures, and verified airflow. Professional, fast, and fairly priced. Great service in Escondido!

Andrew, the technician, was extremely helpful in getting our oven repaired in a quick and timely manner. He even noticed a safety issue from the original install of the oven, and took care of that for me! 10/10 would highly recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does appliance installation cost in Escondido?

There's no menu rate, because no two hook-ups are identical — a dishwasher swap with healthy valves is a different job than a gas range in a house with a frozen shutoff. Instead, you send us the model number and photos, and we send back one exact written price before we arrive. It covers labor and materials, and it doesn't change once you approve it. No on-site surprises, no "while we're here" add-ons.

Will you install an appliance I bought somewhere else?

Yes — that's most of our installation work. Whether it came from a big-box store, a local dealer, an online order, or a scratch-and-dent outlet, we'll connect it. You don't need to have bought anything from us. Bring us the machine; we'll bring everything else.

Do you install gas ranges and gas dryers?

Yes. Gas installs get a brand-new flex connector every time, a reachable shutoff (plus a sediment trap where the line calls for one), and a leak test on every joint with solution — once at connection and again after the appliance has run hot. We light and verify every burner before we leave. Gas is the one hook-up where shortcuts are genuinely dangerous, which is exactly why it's the most disciplined part of our checklist.

Do I need to buy supply lines, cords, or vent parts myself?

No. The truck carries braided water lines, both 3-prong and 4-prong 240V cord kits, gas connectors, stacking hardware, and dryer vent fittings. New appliances often ship without these parts — ranges and electric dryers come with no cord at all — so we stock them as a matter of course. Any materials are listed in your written quote up front.

How long does an installation take?

Most single-appliance installs — dishwasher, dryer, freestanding range, over-the-range microwave — take about one to two hours on site. Wall ovens, stacked washer-dryer pairs, and built-in refrigerators run longer because of weight, wiring, and fit. We give you the realistic time estimate together with the written price, so you can plan your day around it.

Does your $80 diagnostic fee apply to installations?

No. The diagnostic fee belongs to repair visits, where a technician has to trace a fault before anyone knows what the fix costs. An installation has nothing to diagnose — we already know the job from your photos and model number, so you simply get one flat written price up front. No trip fee, no diagnostic step, no fee stacked on top of the quote.

Is the installation work guaranteed?

Yes. Every installation carries our 90-day labor warranty. If a connection we made leaks, trips, or comes loose within that window, we return and correct it at no charge. The appliance itself stays covered by the manufacturer's warranty — and a documented professional installation helps you if you ever need to use it.

What is included in a dishwasher installation?

Everything between the box and the first clean load: we shut off the supply, set the new braided line, route and secure the drain with a proper high loop or air gap, level the unit in the cabinet, connect power, and run a full test cycle while checking every joint for weeping. You get one written price for all of it before we arrive.
